About Us

The Moscow Elks Lodge Golf Club sits along ID-8 just outside Moscow, where the rolling terrain of northern Idaho makes every round feel like you earned it. Course superintendent Jeff keeps the fairways in shape season after season, and regulars will tell you the condition reflects genuine care, not just routine mowing. A 4.1-star rating across dozens of reviews backs that up.

Beyond the course, the lodge itself draws people back for reasons that have nothing to do with golf. Bartender Jack and kitchen lead Billie have earned their own reputation, particularly during private events like the annual Christmas party, where guests have walked away calling the food and service 'beyond superb.' That kind of word-of-mouth doesn't happen by accident.

Founded under BPOE Lodge 249, this club carries the Elks' century-long tradition of community service into every tee time, every fundraiser, and every Friday night at the bar. If you live in the Moscow, Idaho area and want a place that combines outdoor recreation with genuine camaraderie, this is the spot.

What We Offer

The golf course is the centerpiece, offering a playable layout that rewards locals who learn its quirks and challenges visitors who underestimate the Palouse wind. Jeff's course management keeps conditions consistent, and the membership structure gives regulars a home base for weekly rounds without the country-club price tag.

The lodge hosts private events and banquets throughout the year, from corporate holiday parties to Elks-sponsored community gatherings. Billie's kitchen turns out food that consistently surprises first-timers, and the full bar keeps the 19th hole worth the walk in. Whether you're booking a work event or just stopping in after a round, the staff treats it like it matters.

Elks Lodge 249 also connects members to a national network of charitable programs, veteran support initiatives, and scholarship opportunities. Joining isn't just about golf access, it's about plugging into something bigger than a scorecard.

"Very disappointed in how this golf course handled a safety issue. My husband’s shot hit a car driving right next to the fairway; there’s no netting or barrier for protection. and we had to pay $500 out of pocket. The course refused to take any responsibility. Poor safety design and even worse management responsibility. I wouldn’t recommend playing here."

"Billie and Jack are top notch. I attended the Elks for my husband’s work Christmas party and both the food (Billie) and service (Jack - bartender) were beyond superb. BEYOND superb. Not only were the food, drinks, and service excellent, both Billie and Jack kindly endured my nonstop chatter and questions about their lives, with kindness, energy, and grace. If there was a rating greater than 5 stars, I would give it. Highly recommend to anyone seeking an elegant, enjoyable night. Thank you, Elks and staff!"

"We love coming to the elks to play golf. Jeff dose a great job of taking care of the course. The only down fall and the reason why I am giving it a 4 stars is because the members don’t play the rate of play, skipping holes and they hit their balls in to you. If you accidentally hit your ball in to the wrong fairway they either pick up your ball and take it or hit it in different directions."
